The project's goal was to design an app for a songwriter who wants to showcase his work within the app.
The client, in this case, is the songwriter, who requested a redesign of his music application. The purpose of the project is to create a professional app design that aligns with the current advancements seen in music applications today. The target audience is mostly between the ages of 18 and 45, predominantly from the Middle East, as the songs are in Arabic. The client asked me to create the same pages currently in the app, which guided my approach, but I was given creative freedom in the design process. I used the old app for several days, comparing it to popular music apps, and from my experience, I aimed to solve user issues and complexities, ultimately providing a great user experience.
My journey in creating this application was both enjoyable and unique
Taking on this project was a challenge for me, highlighting the importance of conducting thorough research before starting. I didn't have enough time to make sketches due to the tight deadline, but I initially presented two concepts, and the client chose one, which then became the foundation for the project. Executing the design itself was straightforward, but figuring out the best approach to design the app was time-consuming, so research took up a lot of my time. The client didn’t request many changes and gave me creative freedom since I was replicating the same pages as the old app. This allowed me to add new ideas, like a notifications button that didn’t exist in the original app.

My first experience designing an app
What I loved about this project was that it was my first experience designing an app under time constraints, and seeing it as a real-world project used by people made it even more exciting. I hope I contributed to creating a unique and enjoyable user experience. The client was very pleased with the work, which made me happy as well. If I had the chance to do it again, the only thing I would change would be to have enough time to conduct more in-depth research and create sketches, among other things. Nonetheless, I’m very happy and fortunate with the final result.
